Villa Corsini
The villa, which belonged to Riario, hosted Bramante, Michelangelo and Queen Christina of Sweden, who changed it into the '600 in a coterie of writers. In 1736, when they were the owners of the Villa Corsini, Ferdinando Fuga extends it to house the library and art collection of the family. The rich library of over 30 thousand volumes, is now guarded by the Accademia dei Lincei, of which was member Galileo, while the art collection constitue today the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica. The garden, with entrance from Largo Cristina di Svezia 24, is home to the Botanical Garden, filled with 7,000 plant species.

The villa, located in Lungara road, is notable mainly for the Renaissance building and the many works of art it contains. It was commissioned by the Agostino Chigi of Siena, who became treasurer of Pope Julius II, Baldassarre Peruzzi in the early '500. A true patron, Chigi surrounded himself with numerous artists, including Raphael, creator of the frescoes with scenes of the loggia inspired by the myth of Cupid and Psyche. Of Raphael is the Triumph of Galatea, the nymph fresco depicting a chariot-shaped shell. The villa, now houses the Accademia dei Lincei and the Cabinet of Drawings and Prints.
Villa Doria Pamphili

The oldest nucleus, at 183 Via Aurelia Antica, is the Villa Vecchia, already existed when Panfilo Pamphili bought in 1630. The new villa was built between 1644 and 1652 by Algardi and Grimaldi, when he was Pope Innocent X Pamphili. The richly frescoed rooms of the villa, which were accessed from Via Aurelia 111, were decorated with a collection of statues, now in the Capitoline Museums. Changes and enlarged the house and new construction is continued in the nineteenth century. After the war the Roman Republic of 1849, the villa was joined at Villa Corsini and the entrance in Via di Porta San Pancrazio became the main one.
